Every half hour, worst case every hour, get off your arse and do 30 to 60 seconds of vigorous exercise. We create these stress hormones that are there to enable us to fight or to run away. And when we sit all day long working they build up and they adrenaline and then activate cortisol. That becomes really nasty. So just by getting up and doing a bit of vigorous physical activity, you burn up some of those stress hormones. You're less likely to have the crash in the afternoon where you then reach for the coffee of the sugar which is going to impact on your sleep that night. I think the importance of those little micro breaks cannot be understated.
