In the US, it can take a year and change to get a trademark registered in the UK. In Canada, we're up to three years of waiting,. believe it or not, to get a response from the trademark office. Some jurisdictions like China refuse almost any application that we ever file for a US client because they're a US-based business. And then you have to deal with the rigmarole over there.
