The Importance of Being Invisible in Banking
Finance is really at the peak of what I would argue is the financialization. You could spend your entire day consuming things created by hedge funds or private accounts. The best thing you can do as a bank is to be invisible, not be part of your consumer's lives. Nobody gets up in the morning deliriously thrilled because they're going to sign the contract with a purchase order.
