The MAF test is a simple way to track your fat adaptation response. You warm up 15 minutes walking, jogging, and then you start running at your MAF heart rate. It's just to confirm that the heart rate is sort of stable. And hypothetically, you should keep getting faster and faster because we're burning fat.
