direct instruction is a certain kind of pedagogy, where the lessons are very carefully planned by people who've been planning the same lesson for a long time. It's better than any other pedagogy I've seen before in terms of its results that I can see. But it seems to be particularly good for lower achievers. We know also from the work of Graham Nottle, like Howard is book also on the podcast, that different kids are going to think differently when they're in class.
