Niacin Flushing: A Cardinal Sign of Inflammation

Your intuition is that this is anti inflammatory, even though the flushing is basically a list of the cardinal signs of inflammation. The Niacin instead kind of reaches the colon, but it bounces off and goes back into the GI and through the blood. It's an acid. And so that what you feel with the flush is essentially like excess acidity, the excess nine.
