The Importance of Self-Compassion in Dealing With OCD
When you have a setback with OCD, it can be incredibly hard to remember to do anything that you're perhaps guided to do by your coach or therapist. So in today's podcast, I'm going to be talking about the importance of letting go of that kind of behavior and instead focusing on self-compassion. The classical carrot and stick approach is like hitting yourself with a big stick. It's not something that is recommended. In fact, it's going to be hindering you over time. And so it's much better if we can actually use the carrot approach.
