The Pros and Cons of Ego in a Breakup

I don't think that the ego needs to be eliminated from life. I feel that many of man's greatest inventions and companies have been somewhat driven by the ego. Steve Jobs had a massive ego. All these equipment around me is all apples. So there is value, I believe, in the ego if channeled in the right way. The problem can then become though, if it goes too far, it can then become quite destructive and a source of pain.
