The Importance of Consent in Design

I want to be mindless sometimes. I want to watch a movie and suspend disbelief. We should try to create great experiences for them, but not to cost them something without their consent. That's fundamentally the kind of stuff that people get pissed off about. It could also tie into the dark patterns.
