Explicit Grammar Teaching Is Like Steroids
Grammar is like steroids, says Builld. If you are going to do grammar, do less of it and do it later. There's an article i lake called the icing on the cake. But if you happen to be a person who thinks that the explicit grammar is going to benefit your students in some way, save that for the last week at school before they graduate. And those students had as good grammar as the students who did grammar all the time well - much better fluency.
