The Importance of Safety in Therapy

Drew: I think about Drew's parts as being like a bunch of kids. And I'm trying to in a sense see them or sense them within my own system. There are protocols within IFS, for example, that can give some guidance on that. But yeah, I'm really sensing first off safety. Sometimes parts don't feel safe and they depart. They might be just regulating their own, their own, in their own way at that time. That's kind of a judgment call.
