Does Strength Training Prevent Overuse Injuries?
strength training does not prevent over use injury it's actually incredibly difficult to try and answer that question with a research study. We've got some evidence from correlation literature so like we know that things like Achilles tendonopathies, iliotibial band syndrome, patellofemoral pain are highly correlated with gluteal strength for example. I think overall it's it's never going to do a run or any harm as long as we're programming it in the right sort of way yeah.
