The Healing Power of Feeling
Dissociated is where you pull out of that. You're no longer in it. You are outside of yourself looking in third person. So, understanding that the healing comes from the feeling rather than in avoidance or further suppression or denial or skipping over it really reverses the direction a lot of us go because we don't want to feel bad. I've never met anybody, client or otherwise in life who has healed or transformed or has grown by avoidance. Everything that we do in order to heal and to move forward in our life has to come from making the choice,. From taking responsibility to start looking at these things and letting ourselves be healed by feeling them.
