871 Is Going to Be a Key Year in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle

871 is going to be a key year in the whole affair it's known as the year of nine engagements and that gives you an idea of how many battles are fought. The Vikings establish their camp at a place called redding and then they start facing off against the king of this region called ethyl red and his younger brother Alfred. This document will actually be compiled a couple of decades after this era and the person who's going to be involved in its compiling is this Alfred guy.
