The Importance of Understanding Who You Are
Buddhist teaching is that if you can truly understand who you are and who you're not, you won't suffer so much. And all of Buddhism is an invitation to end suffering. The core of early Buddhism is personal, who am I, why am I suffering? Is there a way to relate to my human condition where I don't have to suffer about it? Or I can be at ease, at peace, relaxed, happy, joyous, free from suffering. That's the whole question in Buddhist practice.
