There was a study brand shown Brad Schoenfield had posted maybe a week or two ago at the time of this recording anyway. And there were two groups, both had some weight training experience. One was exclusively fed animal proteins, the other exclusively fed plant proteins. At the end of 10 weeks, which you can argue is not a long time for looking at muscle hypertrophy, they essentially found no significant difference between the two.
