Can I Outrun a Bad Diet?

Mike Cringe: The word outrun suggests that the exercise calories are going to be greater than the energy that we're consuming from food. What does a bad diet mean? You'll be talking about, and I think coming back to what Gay was saying, most people, I think, initially assume that a good diet means too many calories or kilojoules in it. MikeCringe: There's lots of different ways you can attempt to quantify the energy that people expend during exercise. In terms of running, there's a general rule, one calorie per kilometer run seems to be fairly independent of speed.
