The Armor Isn't Serving You Anymore
When we're in our 20s and early 30s, we are still convinced that the armor serves us. But by the time you get to 35, 38, 40, then you're in kind of midlife. That's when the universe is like, the armor, it's killing you. And so I think for me taking the armor off for me was about really getting to a place where I do not calculate my value based on what other people think of me. My people pleasing is kind of the bright side of manipulation. It just doesn't serve me anymore.
