The Different Roles of Capability Managers in a Tech Organization
Design and product did not have chapter leads. The tech organization functioned in this way, but it still roughly looked like a matrix organization. It's just that the leadership roles of the people that you report to would look a little bit different to what a chapter lead for a tech orientated part of the business would look like. But the chapter leads wouldn't assign you work, would they? No, absolutely not.
