Is There a Trade of Between Translating and Translating?
You have to inhabit the book very, very um obsessively while you're translating it. I do not allow the floor to be impeded by anyame. One of the tricks we do in our translation class is i make them translate bird song. The whole idea behind bird song is that thereis no meaning. You've to translate sounds. Let your minds just input words to these sounds and then they create beautiful situations around those. And again, this is true of everyone, writers, translators, anybody who does anything. Is there a trade of between getting it right and getting it done?
