Emotional Rest Is Not Trauma Dumping

Emotional rest is not trauma dumping. It's basically painting a picture that takes the person you're talking to into the experience with you so they then can feel what you felt and really understand how you felt. What's really needed is to address the question. When that person corrected you, what did it do inside of you? Did it bring up some hidden insecurities? Did it make you feel small? What happened in you? That is where the emotional rest comes from. If there's a heightened level of vulnerability that's needed for true emotional rest... Most people don't go because it feels unsafe. And so that is the difference. Okay.
