The Importance of History in the Past

The reformation is a truly global phenomenon that didn't always play out in happy ways. These were people of their time and place and the things that made their world tick were specific to that. The long-term consequences of those are playing out in ways that were only now untangling. Those are consequences we need to deal with too as far as the reformation is concerned.
