Training Employees to Retain Employees
There's really two different jobs there. There's you want to get into a new market and train your employees so they have the skills to do that. Then there's another which is retain your employees. Sometimes it might be, oh, let's give them new skills. But then you see companies like Starbucks offering college education. They're just offering it because that can increase the time a Starbucks barista stays at Starbucks from maybe a year to multiple years.
