Amplitude was the first company to grant 10 year exercise windows unconditionally to all employees at Amplitude. These grants invest over four years, so it's not like you get all that for just joining the company. But if you wait four years, you put in the time and the work and all of a sudden all the equity you put into the company disappeared,. It's like, what the fuck? That's a huge equity is a huge and very important part of compensation of these early companies.
