When we start to get a little bit more older with a higher training age behind us, we do need to dial up the specificity because the body will max out. A variety of stimuli will create improvement in performance. The fusion and fission of mitochondria and different muscle fiber types and cells is so cool that even 10 years ago we were ignorant to it. We're trying to discover what Mother Nature's Laws are all about.
