If you're obese, inactive, you tend to have increased intramuscular triglycerides. This can be a bad thing for mitochondrial function and maybe play a role in some resistance. When you exercise, you get a normal sort of increase because you want to use it from metabolism. So what happens in your older exercise people? Well, let me just say that when obese people and normal weight lean people exercise, again, this muscle triglyceride is a fuel source.
