The Effects of Stress on the Amygdala

When you're under stress, your brain kind of blows through serotonin, GABA, and dopamine more. It metabolizes them quicker. We do everything more. So I think like the way to, you know, so that the cognitive behavioral therapy takes care of the prefrontal cortex side of it, like not interpreting the incoming stimuli in a way that's threatening. And then the GABA and serotonin is going to hit the amygdala and deactivate it, let's say, and so that it's not creating that anxiety.
