Customer marketing should be producing customer advocacy essentially. It's like this sort of weird little hidden bit of marketing that so many people either don't do or they do it but they kind of go oh yeah, I think we need to do some of that. The old school way was just you're begging for favors be a reference let me put your logo on our website can we get that happy quote all of that cheesy stuff. But the new way is is bringing those advocates and using customer marketing and advocacy as that two-way exchange of value where the company gets great insights and great feedback and testimonials and customer voice.
