There's this idea of you have to go on as if things are normal. You've gotten really good at being able to sit with big feelings and not have them validated by anyone. And then you end up questioning their validity. Because if you couldn't even get validation for how horrible and difficult it was when your mum was dying, that couldn't get validated externally or in other kinds of ways. The idea of my feelings won't get validated. There's no point in really talking about me too much.
