How to Increase Proximal Recruitment
If it's a healthy person and they're not hurt, I kind of call it like a reconditioning session. And how many exercises ideally in this timeframe are we wanting to do? Well, what you'll find is that if the target goal is proximal, like your hips, your glutes, your delts, it does appear to require a substantial amount of distal fatigue to increase proximal recruitment. For the end of the session, I would just repeat for the upper extremity: You're going to be in a froggy position with your knees bent out 45 degrees.
