The Importance of Strength Training

There's been some great work out there. Traditionally, we would do a seated heel race to really bias the slayers and we do a standing straight-legged heel race to bias the gastroc. You're going to get some great life and attention into both gastroc and slayers when we train it in standing. But importantly, it's the intensity in your muscle contractions that's really key. Lifting hard, lifting heavy is really the key thing as opposed to how much your knee bends when you do it.
