The First Part of Your Marathon

The first part of your marathon should feel unbelievably comfortable. You don't run anything close to a marathon before you run a marathon for most people. The farthest I ever ran before my first marathon was 14 and a half miles in a run. It's not about the distance of one specific long run, it's about the entirety of the training that you do  and doing what is appropriate for you and your body.
