The Importance of Recovery
I think part of your recovery probably is these other outlets, you know, a little brief. I write a lot of songs when I'm on the bike, actually, like long endurance rides. So it's so different than an athletic endeavor that it really balances things and allows for a different form of expression. You see a lot of athletes with these kind of quirky hobbies that they carry with them. Don't forget that is training. All your gains are made in recovery, not in the suffering. Put emphasis on it.
