The Potential Side Effects of Complement Inhibitors
When you block complement, especially terminal complement, there's really only one side effect. And that is an increased risk to niceraeo infections. I think we're really moving away from the era of immunosuppressive therapy. There are some patients that have had severe aplastic anemia with clones like you presented in your case that are actually having some small vessel thrombosis causing pain or other manifestations. We can't help but ask you then who gets an on-genade transplant and how do you decide when and which patients to refer?
