The Importance of Relaxation in Training

As I get older, one thing actually about getting ready for a race is the feel like when I was younger, it was all about like, I need to hit these times because I hit that time last time. And I've done it where I've then forced to hit a time. Whereas when I really think about it, yes, the time was good when I ran a PD, but it was more it felt so easy. So I think the thing that would do better and I try to do that now is the feeling of like being relaxed, even if it was slower, gets me in a better place to race than the like over himself trying to get to a certain time.
