Aristotle's Politics - What Is a Citizen?

There can be no universal rules that would allow us to stipulate detailed laws for all cities. Variations in population, geography and other factors make this impossible. Aristotle devotes some attention to the issue of what it means to be a citizen. He concludes that a citizen is someone who is actively involved with political affairs. But there are aspects of aristotle's politics that will strike us as a bit less charming.
