The part of the brain that helps people to think clearly and to observe things clearly really gets interfaced with by trauma. The imprint of trauma is in areas of the brain which have no access to cognition. When people are into their trauma, Brokus area shuts down. That's a very important finding because it helped me to realize that we need to also find methods that bypass what they call the tyranny of language.
