The Importance of Mindfulness in Diving
Diving is quite a quiet sport. So when you talk about cutting through the noise of all the distractions outside the pool, what's going on in my life, once the whistle blows, it is silent. I try to do 10 minutes at least just focusing on my breathing to be able to get to a point where at any given moment, no matter how stressful, how pressurized that moment is. And then rather than thinking about what's already been, what's about to happen, just being really present.
