The Importance of Protein in Maintaining Metabolism

The way that we view exercise. People assume because they go to a CrossFit class for an hour and work out intensely that they can then sit for the other 16 hours of their day. We've been telling our patients for 20, 30 plus years that we need to eat frequently in order to kind of stroke our metabolism. I always like to interject that middle-age people need more protein, not less. Our modern day lifestyles are contributing to a lot of the disease and poor metabolic health that we have here in the United States.
