The Benefits of Centering Breathing

Arielle: I developed a technique called centering breathing where you take a piece of kite string and just tie it around your waist at your belly button level. And every single hour what you do is you use the string to cue you to expand your belly so you're breathing diaphragmatically. As you inhale you visualize yourself like a tree growing to the sun, as you exhale you visualize your growing roots through your feet down into the earth to support you. It's very effective once a person does it anywhere from two weeks to a couple of months.
