Is There a Scenario Where Dehydration Could Be Beneficial?
Some people have suggested that being a little bit lighter during climbs could be a good way to perform better. Is that myth, reality? Where are we at with that? So there are two studies in that topic, exactly,. There was the first study from an Australian group where they wanted to examine exactly what you said. Then there was another study actually that we published, if I remember correct, must have been 2012 or 2013. It was about five to seven kilometers climb, continuous climb of 8%. We found that they ended up competing and they had less performance. They were approximately 30 seconds slower when they did that about 15 minutes climb.
