The Eighth Symphony Is Making Fun of Classical Music
The eighth symphony is unmistakably mocking the genre. Beethoven wore a wig, he powdered his face and played overly simplistic music that any 12 year old can play. He's literally Gene Simmons, the original kiss. The Ninth Symphony is such a strange beast to me because it's another one of those piano pieces. I would say more kids learn how to play Ode to Joy on piano or first.
