The Importance of Setting Positive Resolutions
You can identify very very specific reasons as to why it would be a good idea for you not to do this. The novelty of going to the gym is going to wear off but if you say you're going to go to the gym because you want to work on your fitness then all of a sudden you've got a really really positive resolution. If you didn't train, eat well or drink water in order to run a marathon there are certain things that you need to do in order to succeed. You figure out what the steps are and you're doing small steps towards that goal.
