Penal Substitutionary Atonement Theory
In this episode, we're going to deal with a specific doctrine called Penal Substitutionary Atonement Theory. Many Christians are taught that the gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15 rather than from the mouth of Jesus in the gospels. The theory rests on one assumption: God's reaction to our sinfulness is wrath and his wrath is poured out on us because of our sin. In essence, it's trying to make sense of what was happening on the cross.
