How to Wean Off of an Addiction
The first step to conquering distraction is identifying what prompts you towards that. Most distractions start from within and they start from within because of these internal triggers. The process called homeostasis causes us to do basically everything we do are done to satiate some kind of discomfort. If I'm feeling lonely, maybe I check Facebook to reconnect with my friends. If I're feeling uncertain, I Google something. If I's feeling lost, I check Google Maps. If I’m feeling bored, might check YouTube or whatever.
