Longitudinal Studies Are Important When You Want to Understand Human Life
Most research on human life is done in snapshots. Following people over time allows you to make sure you don't make assumptions that are false about what happens to people throughout their lives. So that's my long way of saying longitudinal work is really important when we want to understand what happening to people as they go through their entire lives.
