If i just sit there and close my eyes for five to ten minutes, even one minute, the brain starts to replay the motor sequence of the corresponding to the correct pattern of movement. But it plays that sequence backward. If i were to wait until sleep, or regardless, when i sleep later that night, the sequence will be replayed forwards in the proper sequence. Immediately afterward, it's played backward for reasons hare still unclear. The replay of that sequence backwards appears to be important for the consolidation of the skill learning....
