The Van Westendorp Pricing Price Sensitivity Test
There's this really cool technique called the Van Westendorp Pricing Price Sensitivity Test. You get to that point in the customer interview where they understand the value of the product, and then you ask them these four questions in order. At what price does this start to seem like a good deal? And then they'll think about like, oh, well, 14 a month. Is it okay? And at what price is this starting to seem expensive? They say, well, 50 bucks a month seems like kind of, I'd have questions about it if it were any more expensive than that. Okay. Now you want to price yourself somewhere in between those two middle points.
