The Bank of England's Forecast for a Recession
The big question on a macro level for the economy is, are we going to get a recession? Is the pain of interest rate rises going to cause GDP to start shrinking? The forecast on the Bank of England has actually been revised upwards in the May monetary policy report. I think there probably will be a recession which they have to create. It's just a question of how well they manage it. Will they overshoot? And I think that's unlikely given what we've heard from some of the Monetary Policy Committee members.
