The Proof with Simon Hill

CHAPTER

The Importance of Fiber in Your Diet

The NHMRC suggests an upper limit of 25% of total calories from protein. For the average man, this is around 150 grams of protein per day as an upper limit. If you have just moderate amount of diversity in your diet and you eat enough calories to sustain your energy requirements, you will get more than the recommended amounts of each essential amino acid. The moral of the story here is don't stress about protein. You will get far better bang for your bark, focusing on diversity of whole plant foods and hitting your fiber target.
